Our serve teams are made up of incredible people that have discovered their gifts and passions and are actively serving in them. From creating a comfortable environment by serving on a Guest Services Team, to leading the next generation to Jesus by serving on a Student or Kids Ministries Team, we have serving options for every personality, skill set, season and schedule. Parking Team

Members of this team strive to make every guest feel like they are welcome here at Upward by helping them find a parking spot with ease and directing them to the nearest exit as they leave, greeting and interacting with them in a way that radiates Christ’s passion and love for them. 

Greeting Team

Members of this team, have the opportunity to be a tangible representation of God’s love by warmly welcoming and assisting guests as well the opportunity to make the largest impact with the simplest action – a smile – and by doing so they’re also helping to foster the atmosphere of acceptance and love in the Church.  

Sanctuary Clean-up Team 

As a member of this team, you are helping look over the sanctuary and helping us pick up any trash at the end of our services so that the sanctuary is ready for the next service. This is just one more way that we try to help create a welcoming atmosphere here at Upward. 

Connection Hub Team

Members of this team serve by welcoming anyone who approaches the connection hub. They also assist others by answering questions, giving directions, and helping people sign up for next steps. Those in this role must have a knowledge of each ministry area including ages and locations for all of our children’s and student ministries. 

Welcome Team

Every Sunday is someone’s first Sunday! Members of this team strive to make every guest feel like they are welcome at Upward by greeting and assisting them in a way that shows the love of Christ. Our host team actively engage every guest of UCF with the love of Jesus, extending that love so that they feel connected, welcomed, and part of the body of Christ. 

Next Steps Team

The responsibility of those on this team is to help assist others with our next steps process. Which means they will be available to answer questions about our upward ministry and membership classes, Baptism and connect groups. They also assist others by answering questions, giving directions, and helping people sign up for next steps. Those in this role must have a knowledge of each ministry area including ages and locations for all of our children’s and student ministries. 

Complimentary Services Team 

As a member of this team, they will set up the coffee before service, keep an eye on our coffee area making sure that coffee is full, creamer is full, cups/lids are replaced and will also assist in cleaning up the area. This team is yet another way that we try to create that welcoming atmosphere here at Upward. 

Connect Group Leaders

We are trained to facilitate connect groups and equipped to build relationships while helping people discover their next steps. (Background check required)

Upward Kids

This team invests in kids by leading them to develop an authentic faith in Jesus Christ, build stronger relationships, and serve others. There are many ways to serve in Upward Kids including Nursery, Preschool & Elementary Small Groups, Worship, Bible Teaching, Games, Video and Sound, Check-In, welcoming new families, or serving as a Buddy for a child with special needs. (Background check required)

Upward Students

We help middle school and high school students to encounter Jesus Christ, build relationships with others and discover how they can get involved in serving the world around them through weekly worship services, small groups, annual retreats (Accelerant & Fall Retreat), summer camp and missions trips. Volunteers can serve in a variety of roles like small group leaders, kitchen staff, welcoming committee, set up and clean up, worship, creative arts, etc. (Background check required)

Upward Worship

Our team facilitates a powerful worship experience through vocals, instruments and sound engineering. (Background check required)

Production Team

Our team assists in the production of the overall worship experience, using lights, cameras, and other visual elements.  

Creative Team

This team is for those who have a creative interest and talent in the following: Social media, photography, graphics, website design, videos, set design, etc.

Security Team

The purpose of this team is to help provide a safe and peaceful atmosphere for ALL to attend Upward Christian Fellowship (Background check required)

Care Team

The purpose of our CARE Team is to help meet the needs of those who attend Upward and are facing a life crisis or health concern. Our team consist of people who visit hospitals, nursing facilities/rehab facilities, and occasionally a home visit. We also have team members who send cards to those who have had surgery, a loss in their family, or just need encouragement. (Background check required)
