At Upward, we believe that serving together strengthens our community and deepens our faith. We offer numerous opportunities for you to join a serve team and contribute to our mission of "Building His Church; Transforming Our Community." Whether you’re passionate about hospitality, outreach, or behind-the-scenes support, there’s a place for you to use your gifts and grow in your relationship with God and fellow believers.

We have a variety of serve teams to fit your interests and schedule. Some areas you can get involved in include:

• Guest Services: Whether you're greeting people at the door or serving them hot coffee our guest services team is often the first point of contact people have with Upward. If you are passionate about hospitality, welcoming new comers in, or even helping cars park in our lot, the guest services team is for you.

• Family Ministries: Both Upward Kids and Upward Students offer some amazing opportunities to serve and encourage the next generation of believers. We serve kids from birth all the way up through high school and if you want to be a part of helping them find their path to adulthood we'd love for you to check out our family ministries.

• Worship and Production: At Upward we believe that producing an excellent in-person and online experience fulfills the call in scripture to do everything as if you were doing it for God. Creating an energetic and exciting atmosphere where people can come and grow their relationship with God is among the most important things we do at church. If you're a musician looking to audition to be apart of leading worship, or if you want to serve on one of our behind the scenes tech teams, check out one of our Worship and Production positions.

• Security Team: Having a safe place to worship is of the upmost importance to us. At Upward we can confidently say that we have watchful eyes over every part of our building. This role is for anyone who is willing to serve by watching over anyone that enters our building and ensuring that they have a secure place to come to church.

• Community Partners: We believe that serving at Upward shouldn't just mean serving within Upward. The church should be doing everything it can to serve its' community in radical and effective ways. We'd love for you to look and see which one of our community partners you believe you could make an impact by helping them out.

• Connect Groups: There's a saying that says "real church happens in circles and not rows." Connect groups are a place where people gather together to do life in community rather than in isolation. We need people that are willing to step up and lead a group of people around them to better community with other believers.

• Care: Our Care team is full of people that value caring for others and reaching out to them in times of need. Although we are a growing church, we try to remain as personal as we can in this area by building a team that is dedicated to getting to know the needs of our people.

We are not looking for any long term commitment out of the gate; this is just an opportunity for you to get more familiar with our serving process.

• Take the Upward Journey. Ultimately, everyone who serves at Upward will take our Upward Journey course. The Upward Journey is a three session course where we guide you through learning more about yourself, the church, and how you can deepen your relationship with Christ by connecting with the local church.
